Clinical Orthotic Movement Assessment with Treadmill Gait Analysis

This analysis is only available at Physio Synergy and Pyramid Performance.

Gait Analysis can be used as a tool to either get to the root cause of an injury, or can be used to help optimise your technique and performance in running and walking.
As well as an anatomical assessment and dynamic movement analysis, I use slow motion video technology to be able to capture how your whole body moves when you walk or run. If one body part isn’t moving well due to pain, tightness or weakness it is very likely to affect your movement as a whole.
If your assessment is at Pyramid Performance and Health, I may also utilise the Dynamic FootScan system to get realtime data and images of how your feet work throughout each step you take. For more detail on this please look at the seperate FootScan page.

At Pyramid Performance and Health, it is also possible to book an Advanced Biomechanical Analysis with Orthotic Assessment. This is a combined session with myself and Ryan Spencer the director of performance and rehabilitation. This will provide the most in depth analysis we offer. It can be booked directly through Pyramid Performance and Health. There is more detail on this on their website.

If you are unsure which assessment would be most appropriate then don’t be afraid to ask. We wont advise more than is necessary to be able to help.

What is the difference between this and ‘Gait Analysis’ at a running shop?

Running shops will categorising running styles with basic rearfoot analysis. This is then used to help guide the sales team to an appropriate running shoe. It does not take into account your anatomy, biomechanics and functional movements. If you do need guidance on the best trainers for you this is something I can guide you through.

If at the end of the analysis it is indicated that insoles would help then I can take all the necessary measurements and scans at the time. A separate appointment is not needed. More information on these can be found on the Products page
